Good morning friends,
It has been approximately 4 weeks since my state has been under a stay at home order and I can admit it is not the easiest. Although I work from home most of the time, I had this time to myself, now everyone is home, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you have small children in your home like me, you know exactly what I'm talking about. But I know not having the ability to really enjoy personal space, hanging out with friends and visiting your favorite places is taking its toll on everyone. We can only do so much to keep daily life as normal or happy as it once was, but hang in there, we will make it.
Although I make skincare products, I really have found joy in DIY projects that I will like to do around the house once I am feeling a little better (been dealing with health issues, but am ok). I really like learning about yard work even though I don't want to do it. I have been making food from scratch. My favorite thus far has been pancakes. I love Aunt Jemima pancakes and wanted to see if I can make it from scratch. I found a great recipe online and tried it. My grandsons enjoyed them so much that they ate theirs and mine, lol.
I would like to read a book or listen to a book in full but unfortunately the Mariah Carey high notes my grandson Landon likes to hit every day, several times a day doesn't contribute to a good atmosphere for reading.
I had to come to the conclusion this is the new norm and we truly have to make the best of it in order to survive and still enjoy life.
I hope you all have been doing ok and have been learning new things to keep busy, and happy in life these days. God knows its not easy but I know we all can and will get through this as long as we don't lose sight of the light at the end of the tunnel.
I would love for you to share how you have been coping during this pandemic and what new things you have done or tried to keep life interesting.
